World Malayalee Council or abbreviated as WMC was formed on July 3, 1995 in New Jersey, is a non-sectarian, non-political community organization providing a global connectivity, fostering friendship and fellowship among malayalees across the globe and having several platforms under its umbrella for training, empowerment, service, support and charity.

A non-sectarian, non-political community organization

World Malayalee Council, a global organization of the Malayalee diaspora that works towards an international brotherhood of Malayalee / people of Kerala origin to bolster their cultural, artistic and social uniqueness and give resilience and understanding towards other cultures with which they must co-exist and interact. The World Malayalee Council (abbreviated as WMC) was formed on July 3, 1995, in New Jersey, United states of America. It was inaugurated at the first ever World Convention of Non-Resident Malayalees.
World Malayalee council has three tier organizational structure that consists of Global, Regional and Provincial councils. WMC is having six regions across the globe, named America Region, Europe Region, Middle East Region, Africa Region, Australia and Fareast Region and India Region. WMC has spread its wings to 58 Provinces across the Regions and continues to grow in number, organizational strength and action dynamics, moving into new terrains, asserting the Malayalee presence globally and exploring the possibilities for a collective action towards the benefit of Kerala and Keralites worldwide.
